Julia Bryck is a dancer, choreographer, and performance enthusiast. She received her B.A. in Dance from Bard College in New York and currently attends Headlong Performance Institute in Philadelphia. She began her dancing career at Wayne Ballet where she trained intensively in ballet and modern jazz. At Bard, she trained with Leah Cox (former Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane dancer and current Dean of American Dance Festival), Maria Simpson, Peggy Florin, Jean Churchill, Peter Kyle, Lindsay Clark, Cori Olinghouse, and Tara Lorenzen. She her was part of reconstructions of Zvi Gotheiner’s Chairs and Trisha Brown’s Foray Foret and Newark, as well as performed in many presentations of student work. Julia has formally presented choreography at Bard College and in the 2016 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. As an instructor, she worked for three years at The Performing Arts Institute of Wyoming Seminary with Tim Early and has substituted for many classes at Wayne Ballet. She is thrilled to be back at her dance alma mater teaching the next generation of amazing dancers!
